An Ultrasound Shows the Location of the Pregnancy
In around 2% of pregnancies, the fertilized egg implants outside the uterus, most commonly in the fallopian tube. This is known as an ectopic pregnancy and is not a viable pregnancy.
The abortion pill does not treat an ectopic pregnancy, and if left undetected, an ectopic pregnancy can lead to serious, life-threatening complications such as internal bleeding. Early detection is key to protecting your health.
An Ultrasound Provides the Gestational Age
